Hello, my name is David Allan.

My father was Scottish and my Mother was Welsh but I was born in England, so I regard myself as English (as well as British).

At the age of 24, I qualified as a lawyer. I specialised in personal injury claims—that is claiming compensation for people who had suffered injury whether at work, in a car or just walking down the street!

I enjoyed this very much but in 2004, I decided to retire from the law and move to France. I obtained a TEFOL qualification and started giving English lessons.

I really enjoy teaching English. I find that my students are much less intimidating than judges! I have a loyal group of students and we enjoy our lessons.
