Hello! My name’s Kerry and I’m one of the teachers here at Phone English.
I have always had a love for learning different languages and for language itself, studying Latin and linguistics at a university in Canterbury, England.
I later trained to teach EFL in Canterbury 20 years ago, gaining an A-grade CELTA and have been teaching ever since. I understand distance learning as I have done extra online courses, including specialist certificates in English grammar, phonetics, teaching vocabulary, Business English, one-to-one teaching, how to teach grammar, classroom management and teaching young learners.
I have taught EFL in a wide variety of situations, all in the UK, including Business English, one-to-one, mixed and monolingual classes of both adults and young learners, but for the last few years I have done online teaching, telephone teaching and teacher training, as I have been busy bringing up my two children in Kent in the South East of England, although they are grown and (relatively) independent now. My son thinks I am crazy as I have a passion for grammar, but we do share a love of music.
As a family, we love rodents, especially guinea pigs, hamsters and jirds.
